Listen to Reggae Vibrations 10-13-18, hosted by ANDROID
Reggae Vibrations has been on the air on WTJU since 1979 and has been helmed by the steady voice of Goldfinger the Selector, aka Scott Shisler, for over 25 years.
Listen to how he describes the show's ethos and purpose, and where his DJ name came from, in this interview with Audrey Parks.
This year, as part of WTJU's jazz marathon, Goldfinger hosted a special show called "Born To Play The Horn: The Brass Section in Jamaican Soul/Jazz", with excellent selections from the Skatalites, Roland Alphonso, Rico Rodriguez, and others. I uploaded it here so that you can hear it after the two weeks it is stored on wtju.net. The show starts with the best Bond theme I've ever heard, by the Skatalites. Perhaps we might say it is Goldfinger's theme music.
